21-Year-Old Dies After Drinking Too Much On Birthday
A 21-year-old woman died after drinking too much alcohol at her birthday party.
Lydia Gale Clark, a student at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, died from excessive alcohol consumption after ingesting a whopping 16 shots on her birthday. According to reports, Clark went to three different bars during her six-hour drinking binge.
The next morning Clark woke up complaining of stomach pains, she was later found laying on the floor by her roommate and was not breathing. Paramedics rushed her to a nearby hospital where doctors unsuccessfully attempted to revive her.
Autopsy results revealed that Clark also had abnormal heart tissue, which may have contributed to her death. Ironically, the 21-year-old was warned by her parents not to drink too much on her birthday.
