12-Year-Old Killed After Predicting Her Death On Facebook

A young girl from Texas forecasted her own death earlier this month, by posting about her demise on Facebook.



Ramie Marie Grimmer, 12, posted "I think I may die 2day," on her Facebook page only to be shot in the head by her mother the very same day. Ramie, her 10-year-old brother Timothy, and a social worker were all held hostage by her mother, Rachelle, at a state office in Laredo, Texas.

The standoff, which lasted for seven hours, ended with Rachelle shooting both her children before killing herself. Timothy, was transported to a San Antonio hospital where he remained in critical condition, before dying from his wounds one day after his sister.

Rachelle was said to be upset over not receiving her welfare check, when she visited the state office. During the ordeal, Ramie updated her Facebook status throughout the day, with her last post reading "tear gas seriasly," in reference to tactics used by the SWAT team to bring her and her brother to safety.

According to the children's paternal grandmother, Mary Lee Shepherd, Rachelle suffered from mental illness. A commemorative Facebook page has since been created for both of the children.
